With the encouragement of John M. Jensen (later Rev.) Marius Jorgensen immigrated in 1913. He was drafted and served in the Army from 1918-1919. He married Martha Rasmussen. They had 3 children : Audrey Rasmussen), Grace (Bohannon) and Philip.
Rev. Marius Jorgensen was a pastor in the U.E.L.C. He served the following churches: Immanuel (Hazelwood), St. Peter's (Northfield), and Farmington (all in Minnesota) from 1924-1927, Emaus (Portland)and Trinity (Westbrook)all in Maine from 1927-1930, Salem (Brooklyn, N.Y.) from 1930-1939, All Saints (Brush, Colo.) from 1939-1944, Nazareth (Standard, Alberta) from 1944-1950, First Lutheran (Scranton, Ia.) and Immanuel (Coon Rapids, Ia.) from 1950-1957, United Lutheran (Hampton, Nebr.) from 1957-1959, Pella (Clinton, Wis.) from 1959-1963.
