Danebod Lutheran Church in Tyler, Minnesota was built in 1895. It was part of the Danebod colony that was founded by what became the Danish Evangelical Lutheran Church. The church is renowned for its interior and exterior Danish design, most of which was done by the local Danish American settlers. It is adjacent to the Folk School.
PACKET 1: Picture postcards, Danebod Ladies Aid booklets (including a 28 page cookbook entitled "Danish Recipes, greetings from Tyler"), brochures, church bulletins ('64, '97), a program from the 1951 DELC convention, a 1961 church newsletter, 100th anniversary letters, and the 125th Anniversary booklet. Items in the box are "Den Danske Evangelisk Lutherske Menighed ved Tyler, Minnesota 1886-1936" which is the golden anniversary book in Danish; three centennial calendars, & "Centennial Celebration, Danebod Lutheran Church, Tyler, Minnesota 1895-1995." All of the items are well illustrated.
